Beloveds, welcome.
The Sanctuary Journal is a new home for insights, teachings, and practical guidance from The MataJi Sanctuary. Here we will explore Kundalini Yoga, meditation, breathwork, mantra, sound, healing, spiritual practice, and integration. We will also share news about events, gatherings, and trainings in Las Vegas and online.
This spiritual journal is for curious beginners, devoted practitioners, teachers continuing their education, and anyone moving through awakening or change. You do not need special knowledge. Come as you are, take what supports you, and return whenever you need a grounded place to reconnect. May these pages feel spacious, honest, and welcoming.
Why We Created The Sanctuary Journal
At The MataJi Sanctuary, practice does not end when a class, circle, healing session, or training closes. Its lessons continue to unfold. A breath remembered in a difficult moment, a mantra returning during uncertainty, or a new awareness arising days later can become part of everyday life.
We created The Sanctuary Journal to support that unfolding. It is a bridge between gatherings and a place where deeper questions can receive attention. Some articles will explain a teaching or practice. Others will offer reflection on energetic change, spiritual growth, healing, community, or the rhythms of the season. Each one will invite you to pause, listen within, and consider what the teaching means in your own life.
If this is your first visit, you can begin by learning more about The Sanctuary, our mission, and the welcoming space we hold in Las Vegas.
Who Creates the Journal
The Sanctuary Journal is created by The MataJi Sanctuary and guided by the same values that shape our work: compassion, integrity, transformation, wholeness, community, purpose, and continued evolution.
Many entries will come directly from Melanie MătaJi, the Sanctuary’s founder, spiritual teacher, and Kundalini Yoga educator. Her writing brings together years of practice, study, teaching, and direct experience with the energetic and spiritual dimensions of this path. You can meet Melanie MătaJi and read A Message From MătaJi to learn more about her journey, her relationship with the teachings, and the principles that guide the Sanctuary.
Future articles may also reflect questions, practices, and wisdom emerging through our teachers and community. Whatever the subject, our intention is to share material that feels sincere, useful, and connected to lived spiritual practice.
What You Can Expect
Kundalini Yoga and Spiritual Practice
We will explore the foundations and deeper dimensions of Kundalini Yoga, meditation, pranayama, mantra, mudra, sound, and other applied yogic arts. Posts may help you understand a specific practice, prepare for an experience, or bring a teaching into your daily rhythm. We will honor the depth of the traditions while making the material welcoming to readers at different stages of the path.
Healing, Awareness, and Integration
Spiritual growth can be beautiful, but it can also feel intense or unfamiliar. The Journal will address grounding, nervous system balance, energetic awareness, emotional change, and the ongoing work of integration. When a more personal approach is needed, our private healing services offer individualized support through yogic guidance, energy work, Reiki, Akara Numerology, private instruction, and on-location cleansing and blessings.
Events and Community Gatherings
The Sanctuary is a living community, not simply a place to read or study. We will share context for seasonal ceremonies, moon activations, women’s circles, sound experiences, workshops, retreats, and other gatherings. Visit our events calendar to see what is coming next and find the experience that speaks to you.
Trainings and Yoga Certification
For those called to deepen their practice or teach others, we will share guidance about study, preparation, and the path of professional development. You can explore our yoga certification and advanced training programs, including 200-hour and 300-hour teacher training, Gong Yoga Nidra specialty education, and prenatal yoga certification.
More Than Words on a Page
Reading can open a door, but practice allows a teaching to become embodied. We hope each article offers something you can carry with you: a question to contemplate, a practice to try, a deeper understanding, or a reminder that you are not alone on your path.
Some posts will be practical and educational. Others will be personal, intuitive, or devoted to the mystery that cannot be reduced to instructions. Together, they will form a growing record of the teachings, conversations, and experiences moving through The MataJi Sanctuary.
Welcome to What Comes Next
We invite you to return to The Sanctuary Journal as new articles are published. Read slowly. Follow what resonates. Let each teaching meet you where you are, and allow your relationship with spiritual practice to unfold in its own time.
Thank you for joining us at the beginning of this new chapter. May this Journal become a trusted place for learning, reflection, and connection, wherever you are on your journey.
Sat Nam.
